^^^ that sounds pretty good except the fact that people on a budget couldnt compete with someone that is running 2 d1 amps. i would say something like begin 501-1500 unlimited amps. so if you could get 4 amps under 1500 watts @4 that would be cool. so keep classes the same except unlimited amps to get there.

Hey Fred, lets make it more interesting......How about trunk classes, you can have the rear seat down,as long as everything is in the trunk. This way the Drag guys can cross-over. [Wink] [Eek!] I think that would bring out alot more trunk guys,as a matter of fact,I know it would.

this is true. i dunno then i guess everything is looking pretty good otherwise. maybe do a bassrace type class also? that seems to be bringing alot of hype and new comeers to db drag so have maybe a street beat/ground pounder class where you have to play music and such?

I think if there was more advanced notication of shows with more promotion and "down time" activites, there would be a higher attendance. I'm not speaking of bikini contests, but something like a radio or sub toss, eating contest, you know, fun stuff to kill time while the batteries are charging.

Just a thought....

One of the biggest bikini contest ever held. and what about NSPL Beach Blast..."Bikini Contest"..
not that the other stuff dosnt sound cool,,,i especially like the " SUB TOSS"......We might just be havn that at our show..
Now who will donate the sub??? [Big Grin]
and i agree 150% on the show promotion!!!
we do need more activities that are "family orriented" also..i know alot of guys who would come to shows if they didny have to listen to their kids and wife complain about being bored..
Damn good points ya made!! [Wink]

Honestly though, I've seen enough bikini contests. After all, it gets old. Most of the time, they are just the scraggly stripers from the local strip joints anyways.

Get the crowd involved in the show. Maybe a "crowd favorite" at the bigger shows. Crx's are boring to hear and watch, but, when some loud extreme or va rolls through, that is what the crowd wants to see and hear.

I really think Bartell's van would be a big winner hear with his paper shread demo.

Stuff to make it fun, not just a big "audio science fair".

Last year, Sound Station had a fantastic show in conjunction with the annual "Yam festival". It was great, there was food vendors, a HUGE antique car show, rides, it was awesome. Local comunity involovement would be free advertisement...

soundstation has that every year, it's a fun sho, cause the real spl'ers eat the mic alive. i had harry cuss me out with that red rex. you can really light up a crowd with a car doin over a 60 with 2 12s. plus cars compete against cars, trucks against trucks, and even power classes. sure there's alot of classes, but noone complains because the little power guy with a street beater doesn't have to worry about being stepped on by a serious competitor

i have the link to their site, but didn't feel it's right to post it

It was'nt even the show at Sound Station, it was the atmosphere. There was soooo much else to do. I really wish I could have made your show earlier in the season, but issues came up and i could'nt attend.

Hulio gave alot of details about the show, a set date WELL in advance and had dropjaw there to draw a car show crowd.

Clinton's Harris sight and sound has been big in the past for the same reasons.

Give us something to do between runs and battery charging.

it sounds good , but alot on that falls on the shop putting on the show , not nspl itself.
but the problem is , is that there are not enough competitors for shops to even begin to come close to breakn even.
i know shows arnt intended for shops to profit but they are designed for advertisement , but, when it gets to the point that by the time you finish with your show and your 3x in the negative on what you put out , and if most of the spectators wernt from your town but competitors just standing around , and you didnt see an increase in sales, would you honestly keep having shows?? Not from a competitors view point but as a shop owner/ busines owners view?

We all gotta pull togather and see what we can do to get this back pumping again!!
Maybe i sound like some kind of preacher , but i for one miss the way it was in the lanes.. [Cool]
