Murillo I honestly don't care what you say there is no way Ray's setup will gain 3 db by doubling power. You may gain close to that in your spl vehicle since it is the optimum vehicle for spl it seems like but I don't know of any competitor that gains 3 db off the top of my head by 2x the power. I will bet that it is closer to what Ray said in 2.4 or even the 2.1 that I suggested. My point of the matter was that it will take more power to break the magic 155 then what he has available for batteries to do so.

Also by calculating what you said you gain by doubling power which was 2.4 db (I think that is completley reasonable and belivable since I've gained this much myself before) you would be at a 150.5 at 2880 watts, a 152.9 at 5760 watts, and a 155.3 at 11520 watts. This still may not hold true if you reach the compression of your woofer and the max output of your box. I also believe that being a slot ported box you will loose efficiency as you throw more power at it causing your gain in spl to be less each time you double power.

The thing is that you do have the power available Ray and you can do this. You said that that 4k sucks on 12 volts but I never suggested to run it on 12 volts. I said all you need to do is back your car up right behind your van and run some speaker wire from your amps in the van to the sub in the Neon. Then you can throw as much power as you make in the van at the 1 15 in the Neon and give us some results as to just when the enclosure starts to loose efficiency.

Ray how much power do you make in the van when you burp it? Take that power and use it in the Neon just to see what would happen if you had the optimum conditions as far as amp power and battery power to make that MT move in the Neon.

I like to think that 5 128ah batts and 1 108ah in the front fed by 220amps and 15.5v is fairly stout. lol I dont drop below 13.3v with 8400+ clamped.

In my application I honestly believe its the lack of cone area and style of box. Its always been that way as far back as I can remember 1.5-1.8 gain lol

I need to work on efficiency

I'm not too worried about when it's gonna be cause I won't really be ready for it. I plan on having my new amps in about 2 weeks. I have tried to call a few times and each time there has been no answer at the shop. I'm not in a hurry like I said so I'll just wait until it is vital to find out what I need to know.

I shoulda put in that because of you I'm buying an Irraggi 320amp for SBN and by mid summer you'll see a dual 320amp setup

I truly wish I gained more but hey I guess you just play the cards that are dealt to ya. lol
