With that being said the last 158+ done at finals was in 2007 by James Harren with 2 multi-cell batteries. Either way it would be stellar to see that number done consistently by anyone at all and then be able to pull it off at world finals.
Kool...I wouldn't give db drag finals any credibility,Db drag finals to most is no longer an event to prove yourself.too much $$$$,too much BS,Pop up rules,to much DQ attemps. Scoring legit numbers locally on Sam's,Fred's,and Matt's meters at certified events are good enough.
How can east coast competitors especially from past experiences be consistent every year when they get ramped by judges ? I have access to Pandas with no problem! worth it? hell NO! Talk is CHEAP.It would be funny to sit back and watch you guys build a"Street C 158+" "SSNW 165+" vehicle and go to finals only to get ambushed by the judges.
Do that Street C 158+, NW165+ at NSPL Finals or a local certified db drag event and you'll get the same respect.
WEll I don't think it would be FUNNY I think it would suck!! Right now I am far from beeing loud! I would like to some day do a 165+ in SSNW but I am sure that it will be done a more shows besides finals!! I dont' know how to sand bag!! I just turn it up and it does what it does!! even though you and several people are louder then me I want to come out and play with the big boys!! I just need a little help thats all!! at least I will admit that I don't know everything and do know what I want to do so if anyone is willing to help that would be great!!

They tore into my car pulled panels, pulled carpet up, the whole chit, and found nothing. When they were finished so called inspecting my car, they just left it, WITH PANELS DETATCHED. This year they would find the same, nothing. Being new, I thought it was normal, but a few well known competitors came up to me, from the U.S. and Canada said that they are trying to DQ me. For what!!! I mean very, very well known competitors. Do you really think a 40 year old man is going to subject himself to that type of scrutiny again??? Fvck that. Call it childish, call it what you want, but it is what it is. I am all for judging to make sure people dont cheat, but signaling one person out, because he may not be the PERSON you want to win is purely unprofessional and wrong. I have better things to do than subject myself to that. That is why other leagues are getting bigger and dbdrag is getting smaller. I would love to compete against Neo Eric again, win, lose or draw, but I am not going to subject myself to that chit again. This is not just another competitor screaming injustice. It was very obvious what was going on. People I didn't even know came up to me and asked me why they are screwing with you!

That is just BS!! I don't know why they would be that way? that is just stupid!! Truth be told there are some people out there that feel that they have to cheat to win!! I don't know why but they do. I would hope to think that the vehicles that sre going to finals or any other show have been seen more then once and have been inspected at other shows to be with in the rules!! I feel that all the Db drag juges should be doing a good job inspecting thease cars at smaller shows in order to keep this kind of thing from happening again!!

Reading Rays post is an eye opener, and I dont blame him for feeling the way he does about the incident, if it happened to me I would be done with Db Drag all together. To pull a competitors car apart looking for infractions is one thing, but to toss it and leave it that way with panels off and not put it back the way they found it is disrespectful and a bad reflection on db drag a whole.
As for people needing to cheat it all comes down to personal responsibility. I understand looking for an edge, but some poeple go out of their way to pick apart the rules and argue that it does not specifically prohibit them from doing this or that.
And this is the very reason why db drag has such a complex set of rules because it has to cover as many potential loopholes as it can, or you will have certain types of people bending the rules in any way they can.

Really, I'm speachless. I will just go back to testing and working on my car to do the best I can under whatever conditions may exist, be them instantaneous or long standing win, lose, or draw.

Someone was accused of cheating with the fuses and the judges didn't seem to want to check it out or wouldn't except the protest money. Also seemed to enforce the "1 minute" rule for Drive-by on some and not others

Let not forget the World Finals Judge Team let their team mate back up in drive by and re-run after he started his approch. That's not fair but they did it. Also no event directors have ever enforced the 1 minute rule until world finals. WTF I have over 6000+ miles going to shows and have never seen this rule apply even at Steve's shows.
The World Finals Jugde Team shouldn't be allowed to compete at world if they are going to judge. Just my opinion. The need to pick one, compete or judge that's the fair way. Beside a couple of the judges I have never seen before and were new to world finals judging.
Not a good time to bring new judges in either.
