Zach there were alot of variables in my so called loss. Gary reached 147.9 first i tied it second. That could be considered a loss. But do you know who got me to the tieing #? Me... those things that you among others said were hurting my score weren't they helped. Each run is 30 seconds as you well know. I commend Team Nemesis for not giving up on Gary's car and not once moving from there hold point till all 30 seconds were done. The moment my car hit the 147.7 all hell broke loose, the back of my car shot up in the air and there was nothing else i could do. And there is alot of witnesses to that, I had 22 seconds left. I made my adjustments inside but with no holds it was useless.
Terry did not misinform me he asked me some questions that at that time made sense.

I didn't say Terry cost him the win. I said it was funny that he thanked Terry since he was involved in giving him misinformation. He lost the run and I just think that it's funny that he was thanking Terry of all people. Like I said he should have listened to what Steve told him and he probably wouldn't be in this situation.
oh-oh! of what misinformation was that???

I've been in this situation MANY times! deadlocked at a certian score! there's nothing wrong with taking anykind of advise during the heat of battle , thats exactly what I did back in the day win or lose.

Now after a head to head battle like this you have to make an assessment..........

Did the civic have 12's or 15's?

not quit sure I belive they are talking about him pushing the seats down in order to try to gain a tenth or two? not sure how the whole thing went down? [Confused] I say them do the same thing ig garys car but it did not affect his score one way or the other. I understand the whole thing of trying something to get louder just went through the whole thing myself!! added a third sub and my score dropped 1.5db!! but that is how it is!! the thing here is to keep at it and get back in the lanes. I am also not sure how it all went down and cuased Steve to kick curtis off the team? I am sure there is more to the story than what is being told. I don't think that Ateve would just kick Curtis off the team for taking second place! this sport is for fun and should be enjoyed by every one!! now the goal is to do a 148.0db in trunk 0-1800 I am sure it can be done and I am sure that every one will keep hard at it till it happens. maybe somone can clear all of this up so we can get back to what we all love about this sport!! good luck to all and hope to see you back in the lanes soon!!! Yeah i have 2 DD 12's for now. Steve says in a above post which I had to read and find out I was off the Team his reasons. I'm not mad about his decision Earlier that day I let him know that I don't depend on him. I made my own adjustments to my vehicle to deadlock with Gary against the teams advice because as Steve himself said "you know your own car best". It got me a tie. I ran thru the lane several times engine off and even pushed the car in and out of the lane like 3 times. So I know i was down on power. I feel that was my tenth loss nothing else that I did.
The Civic has well over a 148 in it under 1800 watts once I get a new front windshield. If it wasn't for the pocket draining battle I meant to set a new record in the 1801-3600 class something like 149.xx-150dB
I do good on my own but maybe shopping for a new Team since i am a free agent now. I have a very impressive resume.
Thanks again Terry and I got a car i'd like for you to look at. [Wink]

First off Curtis, that box in your car is spec'd out by me,so don't get up here and act like you designed that box,in your car, secondly the whole time you was battling Gary, your car,did not ever do a 147.7 until you adjusted the seats.Think about that.My point is,AND STILL IS.... YOU WERE CLAMPING LESS WATTAGE THAN GARY WAS,WITH THE SAME SPL SCORE,SO WHY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COUNTED,DID YOU CHANGE
THE SEAT POSITIONING IN THE CAR.We did not test that,so why try that in a round that you already had won. It's a couple of things I wanted to try while you were in the lanes, but why risk an oppurtunity of a world title, when you was going to win anyway?Maybe Terry can give you enough advice to beat the cavalier! And no one knew who you where, until you became a part of my team.So what kind of resume are you referring too?And get it correct,I only made that you know your car best, when we where clamping your amp, without the use of a TL,and you said it sounded louder, that's where that statement came from.

And I think it's funny for you to think you would even have a chance against one of the loudest trunk guy's in the world.I always had an iffy feeling towards you,and that's why I never tell everything to a certain individuals.I tell, and do enough to stay ahead of the comp.

It's not all about you Steve... it's about the love of the sport. And actually remember you came up with 3.5 well i told you the other day that is not what is in there. So yeah you spec'ed out something but I guess I messed up yet again and not listened and stumbled on something good. Maybe i'll try the 3.5 though you may be on to something....

As far as me being iffy not likely i'm the best friend you can have in this world till you cross me. The feeling your getting is "threatened" That someone may be louder then you if they tried. I don't own a 7kd or 12k etc.. I probably never will so that may never happen.

Once you get another Trunk vehicle bring it to the lanes. The Cavy is Modified correct? So I don't think that one counts. I'll be chillin around 1801-3600 more towards the 3600 soon enough.

Oh happy belated B-day. Dunno why your so bent outta shape and i'm not.

The 3.5 is after subs, and port displacement.I will never be threatened by you,or anyone else for that matter.I have proved myself more than once. And the cavy is still legal for those classes.

oh-oh! of what misinformation was that???
Like I said I wasn't right there so the info that I'm going off of is what was told to me. The misinformation I am talking about is that you told him to try and lean his seat backward instead of foward. It just so happens that after he tried that his score went down a tenth after it had been consistant for several runs. I know the lost tenth wasn't because of battery power either cause he clamped over several times with the car off like it was during the run.

I didn't tell him to move the front seat backwards
(moving front seats backwards loses db) , it was the rear top seat fold down but it couldn't move any futher down as Gary's car didn't either so there you have it. [Wink]

I've been in this game too long to give "misinformation" trust me. [Wink]

(moving front seats backwards loses db) , it was the rear top seat fold down but it couldn't move any futher down as Gary's car didn't either so there you have it. [Wink]

I've been in this game too long to give "misinformation" trust me. [Wink] [/QB]

Since my right hand is messed up I used the front seat to hold the backseat further down since I couldn't use my hand. You had no part in it Terry I just wanted to win clearly. Hopefully Fred is following all this and we will get a section in the rules for 2010 on how to handle ties the first time around. Maybe instate his lowest clamp power same dB rule at onset. Or we can meter to the 10th's like the Brazilians ex.. 147.83? What do you guys think?

I think that there's no chance of seeing another tie breaker like that again in the trunk class next year.
