Anyone ever work with a Grand Prix?

I'm determined to get this monster loud and remain in the trunk. [Cool]

We don't have NSPL up here but If we did I'd be in it! [Blob]

I'm shocked no-one has any love for a fellow trunk competitor.

Maybe I should start a new trend with Grand Prix's!

Thanks....I'm shooting for 147 this year. That was the first time I got on the meter with this setup. Working on testing now.

2 more shows gone and 2 more firsts. new high for me 145.8.

For shucks and giggles I ran a music track with amp tuned down for musicality and 10 clicks lower on the headunit...burp 145.7....music 145.7....might be using the wrong freq. for burps..chuckles

I put a new box in recently with a 10 in port. Unsealed 145.6. On way to get it tuned and sealed. Hopeing for a 146 plus.

sounds like you are on the right tack. just takes a lot of testing and trying different things. box work is the most important thing!!

if u can use the meter for about 20 minutes u could lean your seats and slide them forward and back and keep testing u should be able to gain by finding the right spot.

got box tuned squeeked a 146.8 out on low voltage.

Gave them a 146.6 for the Fathers Day Soundoff and brought home another 1st for my Class.

Gonna duraline the outside of the box and try some 45angles inside.once we get the 45's tested I'll resin them in and then reisin the inside of the box.

Got box sealed without 45's, and did some D2 recones and was able to post a 148.2.

Just put in my alt last Sat. 220amp. Gonna run up this Sat and get it tested.

Sealing the trunk from the cabin starts on Mon.
Gonna put in a floor and mount box to it in the spot I found to be loudest then add a horn type face forward to the back of the B Pillar.

Hoping that by doing so the air can only move in one direction forward. If it works it will get painted and fiberglassed to look like one big black hole with 2 AQ eyes looking at ya! LOL

gained 1.5 db by sealing it to the cabin. Still looking for a 50 but am sure it will be done soon!

149.2 Although I was able to hit a 148.2 once before sealing it I was consistently hitting 147.7-147.8.
