We are seriously considering consolidating the WF to a single location in the US and a single location in Europe until the economy recovers. The prelim date is Oct 3-4, 2009. We are still looking at venues.

Indy seemed like the place to be. People from Canada keep wanting a finals up there, the farther you move from the boder the more they will whine.
I know if finals ends up to far south nobody from canada would be there and then were all going to hear about it.

What other locations other than North america are you going to do this year? 1 in Europe? 1 in South america? ect ect...
The one finals in North America makes sence. Indy was a good drive for us, but would drive back again. mabye just too hard core? i dont know. lol. remember the trip makes the fun, finals is just the added bonus!

My Birthday is on the 5th, Good time, What venues are you looking at? I would like a more central location in the U.S and you can probably find a venue for a better price more central.

I feel the same as Terry Jackson, and I would love to see the US World Finals back at Nashville, but if not, Louisville, is always the next best choice. I have been to Indy, but to me, it really just did not have the same feeling I seem to get when it was held at Nashville or Louisville. There is nothing like having the show right next door to the host hotel.

I'd love to see finals in toronto but if that doesn't happen I'd love to see memphis or nashville.

best idea ever, screw the economy, it makes db drag more of a spectical for all the people involved, i for one hated the fact that friends and cars i wanted to see were somewhere else! said this since day one with multi venue finals!

I thought that the whole multi venues finals idea was adopted in order to expand the sport.I understand that the world is facing economy problems and that affects dbdrag as well. But considering the possibility of 2 venues for 2009 Finals will hurt the format instead of doing any good.Have you considered the fact that the participating costs for many competitors will be enourmous in case this idea is granted?

i think there should be mor locations than 1 in europe (don't know for US)
because less locations = less competitors in 2007 there wore 6 location with 400 competitors, in 2008 there wore 5 locations with 300 competitors
i don't see the reason why 1 location should be beter for the people. most of the competitors that want to compete will not drive +1000km just to compete at finals (acept the diehard db-dragger)
less WF places = less competitors = less participants that compete at games to get the required points = less memberships = next year less classes again

A more centralized location for the US would be better, makes it fair for competitors from the West Coast that don't want to spend two days driving to Finals. It's also my understanding that there are more competitors in Europe than America, so having two locations there would be a better option for the European Finals, regardless of the economy.
