The first draft of the approved amp list for the Street Stock division can be found at the following link...

Approved Amp List

This list will continue to grow so please check back frequently.

If you plan on using Monoblock amps, the maximum power for each amp is limited to 500 Watts.

If you find typos or would like to see additional MAJOR brands added to the list, please post the information here.

The approved woofer list will be posted shortly.

Wayne.. I have a quick question. It would appear that the limit is set to 1000w for just about every amp. So why is it that there are a few which are rated over the 1000w limit but are still allowed where others arent? Basically I'm trying to understand the logic of how they were chosen and I'm sure others will want to know as well.

(btw, I'm not trying to single out the Crunch amps, they were just the first examples I found)

As an example

Legal:
Crunch P1100.2 550x2=1100
Crunch P1400.2 700x2=1400

Illegal:
Crossfire VR1202 Not Permitted 600x2=1200
Memphis MCH1300 Not Permitted 1100x1=1100

You are correct. Rather than researching thousands of products, I will wait for competitors who use these older products to request approval (here).

So what if I use 2 channels bridged on a Orion 8004 for my 12" sub and the other 2 channels in stereo for my mids and highs.

Because the Crunch amps power shown are "maxx power" that you see but the RMS power is far less then 1000 watts.

Wayne, is the total power limited to 1000 watts RMS?, Advertised "Peak Power"?

Many of the lower end amps you have listed are "Peak Power" ratings.

What is the power criteria?

I see Orion on the list, but not PPI, Directed or Directed Extreme. Is DEI only supporting DB Drag with the Orion Brand or am I just missing something.

Just so I know I have this right, If an Amp is not on the Approved list I should put the person in the actual db drag clas they fit (Freestyle-Extreme) or Bass race then ask to have the amp added to the list, so they can compete in Street Stock the rest of the year. Is this the way the dbDRA would like to see this done?

Glad to see a list is finally out.
Just a thought though, with everyone asking why isn't this one or that one on the list, why not submit a request like Wayne said. And help him out a little, like give him the link for the info on the amp/amps in question so he can approve or not approve the amps and we can get a bigger list done faster.

After speaking with various manufacturers regarding product popularity and price points, this list will probably change to allow amps up to 2000 watts. I am still soliciting input from retailers.

Ultimately, we may end up with a "short" list of amps that may not be used. Instead of a long list such as this one.

The speaker list is coming.

I'd like to see a class that consumers have a chance in. We have yet to sell a maxlink to a customer for daily use.

I sure hope that the cheater amps don't end up in this class, that would defeate the idea of this class.

I can't see any reason for strapping an amp in the Street stock classes, kind of defeats the entire reason for this class.

Well, it just may be that someone has a couple 750 to 1000 watt amps and may know the benefit of strapping them.

Remember, in Street Stock these are consumers and many of them will have $300 - $500 mono amps and if competing, they will want to maximise what they have just like the bigger classes do but of course they have budget and very low power limitations to contend with.

No matter what they do, they are limited to only 2000 watts.

Unless the CHEATER amps get let in.....I think that would be the only reason that you would want to strap amps.
