I really hope that allowing extreme mods to the front of the vehicle(as long as the seat is kept intact), loading walls and reinforced windows does not cause problems.
I hope I am wrong but this is the way the class matrix makes it look like you are able to do.

I think that you need to wait for the RULES before you make any comment about Street Stock

Hopefully when the new rules are posted for these classes they'll say something about only new competitors can compete in them. It wouldn't be fair if some of us seasoned Street competitors just switched our gear to something on the "approved" list so we could win in another class. I'm hoping there's a way to keep it for the new guys only. I've been trying to convince a local shop to host some shows, but this is the kind of thing he's concerned with too. Even if we run out and buy the approved gear we'd still be making it impossible for the new guys to have a shot.

We are working on them. The reference in the matrix to the area in front of the B-pillar and walls is not phrased correctly.
We just want to loosen the limits we currently enforce. For example, if someone makes a modification to their door panels we want to make sure they are not thrown out. Many "tuner" type cars have lots of mods in front of the B-pillars but they are almost all cosmetic in nature.
The same is true for walls. We are not planning on allowing "true" walls, but if the enclosure comes up to the bottom of the rear window (and fails the normal wall test), we want to make sure these systems are allowed.
This is still in the works.

Thats a great idea, for the tuner cars. Maybe this season we'll be able to get some Drags shows going along with some car shows, like USAC does around here.

So you could have a wall that was to the top of the front seats(excluding the headrest) and have it sealed to the vehicle all the way back along the sides and back?
What if the vehicle has no headrest and just had the full seat that extended to behind the head? Some vehicles have a 1 piece seat that is 8-12 inches from the roof with no headrest.

Sounds like those cars would have a slight advantage, if they wanted to run a larger enclosure. You gotta keep in mind who this class was designed for, rookies and "tuner" cars. Guys with tuner cars aren't going to build an enclosure thats too big, that adds too much weight for the track. And the chances of a rookie being willing to transform their daily driver into an SPL only vehicle with a completely sealed enclosure is very slim.
