The dB Drag Racing Judges, International Agents, and Event Promoters have worked hard to find a class mix that offers the best potential for growth while minimizing the impact on contestants.
A brief summary of the changes is listed below...
Added Freestyle. This is a new class for first-time contestants. Essentially, there are no rules in this class. If you win first in Freestyle, you must move up. Freestyle will not be offered at the World Finals.
Added Street Stock Division
Reduced amplifier quantity limit, conductor limits, and battery limits in the Street Division.
Combined Street Max 1-2 and Street Max 3-4 into a single class.
Changed Super Street 1-2 NW to Super Street NW
Modified Extreme division classes
I want to thank everyone for their hard work on putting these changes together. I sincerely believe that these new classes will help to alleviate some of the cost concerns expressed by many competitors, provide new contestants with a class to participate, and bring back some of our veteran contestants who have stepped aside because of the complexity and cost associated with designing and constructing Extreme vehicles.
