Most people here have prolly never heard of em, but my favorite rappers are Ruthless Juvenilles, their first CD 'Hard as the F*ck vol. 1' was awesome. Vol. 2 was pretty good too..... The first album came out in like 92, it is like hardcore New Orleans gangster rap with not the SLIGHTEST hint of pop! Awesome stuff if you can find it!

Every itme I bust out my old stuff, people are like "you're living in the past" but I dont GAF... Thats one of my favorite things about Termpro, theres alot of people just like me. Some of my favorite stuff is like (of course) Eazy-E, Too Short, old 2Live crew, old Ice Cube, and alot of "down-south" early rappers. The other day someone asked a question about Das-Efx, and until that, I had just about forgotten about them. Sometimes I get ahold of stuff I used to like but dont really care for it anymore, makes me feel old... BTW why can't I get a copy of Master P Ghetto Dope anywhere... I can buy "icecream man" all day long, but not ghetto-D!!!

DJ Quik was always a favorite of mine. Wu-Tang Clan's first CD was and still is bad ass. Another would be the Scenerio remix by A Tribe called quest, and the leaders of the new school. there are countless others, but thats all I can remember now.

haha, i feel ya. i love eazy e and nwa. 2 live crew is also great (gotta love the classic "hoochie mama" - yeah most of their songs have a great base line and good rythem).
i also like compton's most wanted, jt the bigga figga, dj quik, older DPG (kurupt and daz dillinger) stuff, old snoop, old dre, various tupac, too $hort, doveshack, etc.
old school, that's what its all about.
i'm all about underground and old school west coast rap (and some good new school west coast stuff). i also like the classic southern and east coast stuff.

yeh, old school is definitely the best, cuz back then it didnt even matter where it came from, it was raw. im hardcore westcoast, but i could sit here and bump eric b and rakim, or naughty by nature all day. but im definitely more about westcoast stuff, nwa, dpg, get low, 2pac (the greatest rapper to ever touch a mic), 3xkrazy, the rag top records crew...

Man, I remember when ON TOP records was putting out the the "down south" sound ages ago. (Miami Boys, Success N effect, Mega john bass, EM"N"EM)
I'm suprised no one has mentioned Too $hort, Dj Magic Mike, and Ice T
Some other older rappers/groups- L.A. Breeze, nemesis, Mc Ron C, Mc Breed.
Or if you wanna talk about classic rap soundtracks "Menace to Society" "Boyz in the Hood" "Higher Learning" "Above the rim" "New Jack City" "Deep Cover"
I am a huge fan of "old" school rap. I really don't consider it all that old, but more classic rap. (It could be because I'm getting up there in age)
