SNOT! The Snot Cd Get Some will drive you nuts. I Gurantee (because I'm a long time soulfly/seplutra fan that lives for slipknot mash pits) Taproot's starting to blosom into a fine band, and if you really want to go for the hardcore, HATE-BREED is ALWAYS a winner. Oh yea, and the new Pantera rules.

Yeah, Soulfly kicks major booty, as does the rest of the bands you mentioned. I saw Soulfly on Ozzfesttwo years ago- very cool. Only saw Pantera once- when they opened for Skid Row on the Cowboys from Hell era.

The new Pantera is ok, Vulgar will be my favorite album by them.

Other bands- Carcass(Swansong is a good record) and Iced Earth.

I might have to check out these bands that Snot mentioned...

I agree Snot is a good band, doesn't sound like any of the bands you mentioned; Soulfly,Slipknot,Pantera but still a good band. I would only suggest Taproot if you like Limp Bizkit, Because they sound very similar. I doubt this is the last year for OzzFest but it could be. This years line up for OzzFest IMO isn't that impressive compared to the previous years.

Hatebreed is a good band if you like hardcore music but I wouldn't consider them to sound like Soulfly,Slipknot, or Pantera. But if you do like hardcore I would suggest checking out; Earth Crisis, Vision Of Disorder, & Snapcase.

If you like Soulfly check out Sepultura "Roots" album its very good & has a very similar sound since Max Cavalera is in Soulfy & was in Sepultura.

Other bands that IMO are good that you could check out would be: Earth Crisis, Snapcase, Hate Breed, Vision of Disorder, Deftones, Snot, Sevendust, Fear Factory, Taproot(if you like the sound Limp Bizkit), Kittie(good band for be girls), Reveille... There's to many good bands to list.

Yea, Hatebreed is kinda hard to classify. I mean, on the surface, it kinda (i use this loosely) Deathmetal, but it's also punk (what I have in my heart, What I have imi my heart...I'll take to the grave ). i don't know, but I like it Another good band that never gets props (along the limp/taproot kinda thing) Hed(PE).
Oh, and will forever stand behind that Lynn (of snot) pioneered the vocals of bands like slipknot (whom, realy isn't like anyother band...but hey) with the entie calm before the storm effect. If snot was still areound, I could esaily seem em touring with slipknot. Just my 2 cents.

Oh yea, as for a bit of olde, 20 dead flower childern is still a decent pick up.

I agree that Slipknot & Snot are very good bands but I could definatly not see them touring together. That's to bad that Lynn Strait died & his dog for that matter. I just wish I would of got a chance to see them when they were on Ozzfest. I would classify Hatebreed as Hardcore as is Earth Crisis/Snapcase/Vision Of Disorder... HedPe is good but they have the whole "Rapcore" thing going & people either hate it or love it.
