Widespread Panic
stop and go

Used to ride the highway
I used to know where I was going
Now this shady dirt road is feelin' cool beneath my feet
Used to ride on
To get to where I was going in a day
Now I've got to stop
And go and stop and go along the way

Was a fool to waste my time
Just searchin' my mind
But the more I find
The more I find the time to search
Used to ride on
To get to where I was going in a daze
And now I've got to stop
And go and stop and go along the way

Ever see the movie Pleasantville when that Etta James song comes on? That's beautiful.

I'd have to say Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

Most definitely... and I think it's more than just the lyrics/music... you can FEEL she means it when she sings it. Etta can SANG! [Wink]

Yes, it's from back in my alternative rock days. Most of their songs are kinda like that. Their lead singer, Hope Sandoval, was smoking hot too. It's good music to 'chill' too. [Cool]

Moments in Love redeux by The Professors of Funk.
The track is available on the Bass Lo+Slow cd. The bass line is very low and smooth in this version.

Yes, The Art of Noise did the original. The remake sounds even better if you can believe it.

Indeed. Check out Rachel's Song off the Blade Runner soundtrack. This song also appears on Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Presents cd.
