i know that teenie-bopper rock doesn't meet the criteria for this thead, but i like the bass in the song.

in the song Sk8er Boi (can she not spell?) by Avril Lavigne, listen (feel) for some low bass hits. in the verses, there is a low bass hit every 8 bars or so. also, check out the low bass hit at 1:50.

additionally, there is a nice low bass hit, kinda similar to a sine sweep of the low bass frequencies in another one of her songs. pay attention around 3:30 of the song Complicated....

damn thought of another one!!! metallica did a song called "phantom lord" on their 1983 album "kill 'em all." anthrax covered that song in 1999 on a 4 song cd called "inside out."

the sound is so awesome on this track! compared to the old recording by metallica, this seems to breate life and give a new facelift to the song!

Definitely gotta represent the Floyd here...

the first song on Darkside of the Moon, with the heartbeat... that is awesome.
