Most of those songs hit pretty good. But nothing compared to When Da Smoke Clears.

Tempe -

Maybe it's because I was using a CV sub that it sounded so good [Big Grin] *duck*

The recording that I had (Classical Thunder 1 or 2) has digitally remastered cannon fire. If I'm understanding the technique correctly, they didn't reintroduce fake cannon fire, but recorded actual cannon fire when the symphony played. Kinda like when AC/DC does For Those About to Rock - they use live (blanks of course) cannons - louder than Hades.

Insanely fun and fast levels of bass that jump out at you (especially if you know the original material - the cover bands will tell you WHY there's so much bass):
NevermorE - Love Bites (this is just wrong in all the right ways)
OVERKILL - Tyrant (It's OVERKILL, you can't go wrong - fast, furious, blistering and full of RAGE - "Into the Pit!!")
KREATOR - Grinder (*drool* - I've been listening to this every morning on my way into work - hell of a way to wake up *big evil Balrog-esque grin*

Yngwie - Pyramid of Cheops (just wrong, but so very right)
Dream Theatre - Pull Me Under / Lie / The Mirror (Never knew a Progressive Rock band could get so heavy and hit the way these songs do)
Stratovarius - Soul of a Vagabond (intro is very sweet on the 12 upstairs)
Iced Earth - Angel's Holocaust / Stormrider (first hits hard, then goes into a metallic version of Mozart, then Stormrider shreds with a blistering pace)
Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO) - Not Fragile (knocked vases off shelves with this intro with just 1 12)

Jurasic Lunch (was always one of my favourites) - By today's standards it may not hit hard, but when we first heard it back in 1992 / 1993, my friends 18 shook his entire house with this.

Def Leppard - did someone mention Def Leppard?! Kewl!!! - Foolin', Billy's Got a Gun, Too Late, Excitable, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Armageddonit are always fun to put on the 12. Not to mention Dio's Holy Diver, Like the Beat of a Heart, Hey Angel, Born on the Sun, Lock Up the Wolves, Twisted, and of course Black Sabbath's Chaos Stones.

The new Jag Panzer (Mechanized Warfare) hits very well in general. Easily gets me through my power workout - the new Symphony-X is more for my speed / combo workout, hits, but more speed & finesse than heavy, fast & hard.
