On a side note, make sure that the web site hosting company is OK with you posting MP3s for download & that you have the throughput & bandwidth to handle hosting those files. I've eaten through 15 MB of throughput in less than an hour on stuff I had to post for work. Your ISP may have web space that you can use for this --- if they do, it should already be figured into your package cost.

It is illegal because you would have infringed on the record companies copyright to edit out a mass produced marketed song and redistribute it freely.
What if i were to buy an album and at the end of each song you would hear someone say "Now track so and so...". That's still illegal.
Trying to keep you out of trouble.
i made the entire Another Brick in the Wall, all 3 parts by Pink Floyd slowed down with added bass throughout, just over 15 min long.
It took 2 days to do. If you could find a way to produce the entire bass track and isolate it from the original song, you could then distribute that legally but i did not make my version like that because of the difficulty involved so i cant do that for anyone either.
I had to actually cut out parts of the song and sync them with the bass then paste them back into the song and make sure there were no audible pops or missing gaps.... took forever.
