If I were to get 1 and ONLY 1 Slayer album, which one would you recommend? I was considering "Seasons in the Abyss", but I just thought I'd get your wise opinion on this matter.. thanks

Hrm.....Seasons or Decade of Agression (if you like live albums). Decade is almost a "best of" up to Seasons in the Abyss (my personal favorite studio album from Slayer).
I like live albums, so when I get in a Slaytanic mood, Decade of Agression is very hard to remove from my cd player.
One nice thing about Decade is that they play a lot of their pre-Seasons stuff too - nice thrashy South of Heaven era stuff .
