Courtesy of my friends @ Metal Flakes:

10. The record proves James is a MUCH better singer and songwriter now that he's sober.

9. It finally gives them a reason to call it quits.

8. Pharmacies are stocking it as an ipecac alternative.

7. It's just been approved by FDA as a new form of anesthesia.

6. They've finally achieved a level of artistry that places them on-par with such visionaries as Marilyn Manson, Phish, Yoko Ono, Eminem, and lest we forget, The Partridge Family.

5. They've been nominated for a Nobel prize for their revolutionary cure for insomnia.

4. They've proven, once and for all, that the MTV generation is so mindless they'll buy anything that leaks out of a port-a-potty.

3. Dr. Kevorkian has bought thousands of copies.

2. Doctors across the world are reporting an astounding 100% success rate treating patients with severe colon blockage with just one listen. (However, there are side-effects: Within an hour of treatment, 47% attempt suicide, 34% lapse into comas, and the remaining 19% require some form of therapy or institutionalization.)

1. Hookers now have to pay the band a royalty fee every time they suck.

good list

metallica needs to stop reinventing themselves and their sound. just get back to basics and the stuff that got you to mega stardom. Just my opinion.

lmfao...that is great, although i've never listened to that album [Razz] don't intend to either...Load turned me off of them pretty much completely, bought Reload hoping it was a lil better (stupid...i know lol).

Dream Theater has an album out doing a cover of Master Of Puppets...don't care for the vocalist all that much (lil thin sounding) but regardless it's still pretty damn good. If you can find it check it out, think it's a live album too [Smile]

DT covered Master of Puppets on some of their tourdates on their tour a couple of years ago. It is available as an "official" bootleg from DT(www.ytsejamrecords.com)

WHen I saw DT on that tour, they covered the song, Master of Puppets, but not the entire cd(which was just fine by me).

I was never a Metallica fan(and I grew up on 80s hard rock/metal).

Another reason metallica can be proud of st. anger...."No one is downloading it off the internet because it sucks."
