METALLICA At DOWNLOAD Festival: LARS ULRICH Hospitalized, SLAYER And SLIPKNOT Drummers Fill In - June 6, 2004
SLAYER's Dave Lombardo and SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison filled in for Lars Ulrich during METALLICA's performance at Download festival in England earlier today after Ulrich was reportedly hospitalized in Zurich, Switzerland. More information as it becomes available.

Hey lars,,karma is a mother.. Well i'm sure he'll get well soon, but yes with slayer's drummer or joey behind the skins, it is metal..wonder if joey wore the mask at the show when on with metallica.

Lombardo's a beast. Not as technical as Portnoy, but a pure beast. Gotz to be to keep up with Arya and King. Hrm...now where did I put that DoA disc 1 CD....time to blare my office mate out

A lot of british people go to the Guitar forum I frequent and one of them that was there said JJ blew everyone away. He said the guys from Metallica were extremely impressed and he killed For Whom the Bell Tolls! They also said that Lombardo did ok but when he left they got JJ back and james said "Hey look it's our little buddy Joey Jordison back on drums." and the crowd went berzerk! He said the guy was 10x better than Lars for sure.
