I like to use Tool's AEnima cd for SQ, and a sine wave sweep off Bass Mekanik just for sh1ts and giggles... You wouldn't beleive some of the looks I get when people hear the entire sine sweep on my system and it cuts off on theirs at about 40 hz

I would have to second micheal jackson. Man in the mirror might be one of the best all around tracks ever made. Plus you cant go wrong with the gold etched CD on the HIStory set. Also, throw in Crystal method "vegas" on any go-low system, and tell me you cant distinguish any frequencies below 25-30 hz..... HA!

hmm..Focal's demo cd is a good one to get. Also for everyday music i like to listen to woman's vocals in the car ie Tony Braxton. The shock value that our mustang can actually sound decent. imo. oh forgot the hip hop music. haha

May not be everyone's cup of tea, but Sheila E and the E Train have a new album out called "Writes of Passage" that is amazing! Mainly instrumental - but excellent jazz-funk!
It's getting lots of in car time lately
Cheers!

My personal fav for showing how my spl system and can sound sweet is a song by an unknown band called Over The Rhine- I painted my name. The lead vocalist is simply amazing and the background vocals just creep up on you. Wow, just an amazing song. I would suggest everyone tries it once.

1. KISS-Shout it out Loud, track 16 from the Greatest hits album. Its a live version, and when the fire pots go off look out....some of the most tremendous bass...loud, and shaking...just like a real explosion
2. Cyndi Lauper-True Colors-Don't laugh, her voice is incredible in this song if you have a good SQ system, plus there are some awesome bass hits at the end
Albums: Styx- Greatest Hits (best treble) Dr Dre- The Chronic (best bass) Soundtrack to Sleepwalkers-simply amazing, and I hate classical music(best bass/treble combo)
