i consider myself a hip hop r and b guy but theres somethin about 80's rock that just owns me. i love the drums and guitar and everyhting. i think its way better than rock today. i love guns n roses , van halen, motely crue, pantera, everyhting from that period. i think its weird since im only 19 and didnt listen to much of it since i was little. i would say my fav 80's rock song right now is "Wild Side" by Motely Crue [Big Grin]

Werd.

But Pantera's major label release was in the 90s...early 90s. They toured/opened for Skid Row...I saw them on that tour.

Good stuff, all of it.

I like a lot of 80s stuff... Metallica, Aerosmith, Montley Cure, and Van Halen above others.

Hrm...those couple of decades are a bit of a blurr for me. Clean and sober though I may be now, I don't think that my blood was always red - I remember more of college from what my friends tell me happened....*sigh*.....:

Crue: Shout @ the Devil
Twisted Sister: I wanna Rock, The Beast, Stay Away from Captain Howdy, Come out & Play
Quiet Riot: Slick Black Cadillac, Mental Health
Beasty Boyz: Fight For Yer Right
HellOweeN: Keeper of the 7 Keys I & II - whole "albums"
MetallicA: Blitzkreig; Am I Evil?; Seek & Destroy; Fade to Black; Call (Cult?) of Cthulu; For Whom the Bell Tolls; MoP; Lepper Messiah; Disposable Heroes; Harvester of Sorrow; Black; And Justice For All....; And Justice Medley
Ozzy: Over the Mountain; Zombie Stomp ('92); No More Tears ('92); Bark @ the Moon - album
Dio: Holy Diver; I Speed @ Night; One Night in the City; The Last in Line; Mystery; Egypt; Sacred Heart; Hungry for Heaven; Rock n Roll Children; When a Woman Cries; I Could Have Been a Dreamer; Sunset Superman; Night People
Maiden: EVERYTHING MAIDEN ALL THE TIME
Priest: See Maiden
MegadetH: Peace Sells; Wake Up Dead; Rust in Peace (whole album - may have been '90 - '92 though)
Slayer: Um - yah, let's just do the easy list job: Decade of Agression.
Van Halen: Anything with DLR; 1984 = RULEZ U!!
Sammy Hagar: I Can't Drive 55
Scorpions: Rock U Like a Hurricane; The Zoo
MotorHead: See Maiden
AC / DC: Back in Black the album; Who Made Who the Album
Savatage: Everything up till Edge of Thorns ruled. Decent in the post-CO era, RIP dude - damn shame.
KISS & Aeroshmith: See Maiden

Everything else is a bit of a blur. I suggest that you check out: TestAmenT; RUSH; Sacred Reich; Bolt Thrower; AnthraX; Seputera (spelling?); and of course the classic gods of guitar: SRV, Clapton, Vai, G3, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull, The Stones, The Who, Yes, BTO, BOC, etc.
