Name the only guitar solo that James Hetfield has played on an album.
Actually on a Metallica album up until _Load_ and _Reload_ he played a solo on "To Live Is To Die". On _Load_ and _Reload_ Kirk and James take turns sometimes.

I'm not sure on this, but the guy who ended up playing was a roadie (sp?).

Les Claypool. heh Kirk asked him to audition. James was qouted as saying "Go away Les! You'll make us look bad!"
quote: Now the last two are super easy-
What band was Kirk in before Metallica? [/B]
Exedus crap I can't spell the band name. I don't listen to them, I've heard a few songs and I can't stand the vocals.

Flotsum And Jetsum or something, which I believe he got the name from J.R.R. Tolken but I can't remember for sure.

Hmm, James plays all acoustic and classical parts on the albums, but I was thinking electric solo prior to "Load" and "Reload." Any ideas to the song? James stated in an interview that this song was the only song that he played the solo on- you can see him playing the solo in the video...damn, I just gave it away...
The roadie did take his place for a few shows. Who was the guy that they were thinking about permenantly replacing him with? What band was he in? Come to think of it, this might be way before the burned hand...Here are two hints- they are from the same area, and the last a rittle, "What would you get if you made a place of worship from steel?"

I wouldn't have minded seeing Alex Skolnick play for MetallicA while James was healing. That would have been an EXTREMELY heavy summer, TestAmenT's axe-man joining forces with them . Now, we'll get to see just how fast MegadetH can be with Alex on board!!!!
Metal Church?! They are a great band to listen to, great for lifting too - Ton of Bricks!!

Yeah, it was one of the guys from Metal Church- name excapes me at this point.
Now- the only question that is left unanswered...The only electric solo that James has recorded (pre-Load) was the solo for "Nothing Else Matters." You can see some of the studio footage in the video.
Who's next? Someone ask some triva...
