I will be competing in my first dbDrag comp August 28th in Alomosa CO. I'm stumped on what class I will be, and if a future mod will affect me. I have a 2003 Suzuki Aerio Hatchback. Where the rear hatch area used to be is my SQ install, 4 RE XXX 10's and a 15 farad cap. Where the rear seats used to be is my SPL enclosure, housing 2 RE MT 18's. In front of the 18's, just behind the drivers and front passenger seat is a specially built compartment housing 4 yellow tops. Where the front passenger seat used to be, there are 2 SH-1's used for the SQ install, and 4 Atomic 1500.1 amps used for the SPL install. Oh yea, both installs are electrically separated.
My questions are.
1. What class will I be in, and 2. My SPL enclosure comes just up to the bottom of the window line of my rear doors. If I were to install more amps on top of this enclosure, that would break the bottom window line plane. Would this impact me competing at all, and if so, how.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Kind Regards, Matt

if you have pictures it will help.. but if your amps are above the window line and attached to the box then I am sure you will be bumped to a wall class (Street Max or Super Street) later Doug

if the front passenger seat can no be re-installed then you may not be able to compete at all.
If it can, you would be in SS5+ possibly, unless the judge didn't thing the 4-10's were part of the system, then you would be in SS no-wall or SS1-2 Wall depending on the hieght of your enclosure and modifications to the vehicle.
The 15 farad cap would keep you out of Street or Street max if it was part of the install.
I would actually have to see the install to really give you an exact class.

Well, could the passenger front seat be reinstalled, yea, but it would take alot of work and couldn't be done in front of the judges. So I think the answer you were looking for was no. If I knew how to post pictures I would.
So if the front passenger seat is removed, I could not compete, even in an extreme class? That doesn't sound right, does it? I guess I need to know for sure before I try and go to the comp.
I can email pictures to give you a better idea if that will help.

after looking at the pictures, I see no way for the seat to be re-installed because of the equipment mounted in that location.
Your class would be Extreme 2 or Extreme 5+ depending on what woofers are used and how their used.
You have a great looking install. If your vehicle doesn't qualify you for an organizations class, don't worry about it. Compete. Have fun and be loud. All that is important is the pride you take in your system. And from the way the pictures look, you have something to take pride in.

Thanks for the reply and the kind words. I'll be in Alamoso on the 28th, and one way or the other, you'll hear me. Hope to meet you there. I guess we can figure out the class stuff then. Since the seat's out, I'm gonna throw in another 4 amps just in case...
