ok so i got a clarion indash dvd player now....

well the remote does not work outside the car(no matter what i do)...

so here is what i came up with to fix that...just need to know if it is breaking the rules or not.

ok i had the idea of using 2 IR repeters on on the door panel and the other facing the eye of the deck so i can use my remote on the outside of the car.

would this break any rules....

an IR repeter is only the size of an LED.

You can put a LED at the end of wire in front your DVD

Or just purchase one of Clarion's smaller remotes that they use with the CD players, it will do the basic functions on the in dash and work from a lot farther away.

I was going to sell u mine for 700. but o well. You are allowed to use a IR repeater. due to the fact that street cars are not allowed to have podiums. A repeater is the only way we can effectively control our decks though tint.

its always been legal. The rule book doesn't say you can use power wire either .. but everyone does.
