I think that Sids explaination is the best thus far and if you go by it you should be ok.

thanks for the reply eric, but i am building my van for the european finals, and would hate to do all the testing and associated building only to get there and have to rip out some sound deadening, which would then change my results

just wish someone in authority ie wayne would just say yay or nay, you can sound deaden both the inner skin and outer skin with two layers, or two layers total between the two!!

both dbsteve and tor are on the rules comitee i believe, and they have differing opinions on the matter!

db Steve's take on the rules is how it has been judged for all World Finals events. Our van is built as Steve says and how Sid has illustrated. Therefore, this is what I believe Wayne has un mind. Rules are written in American and can be translated differently as words have different meaning in other languages.

hey sorry for the long delay, been really really busy

as far as sound deadener goes you can put two layers on the inside of the outer door skin and combined two layers on the inside on the inside layer, and or on the door panel itself

if you need further clarification let me know

thanks

ray
