I want know what kind of THINGS i can build on this transition area. Biggest question mark to me is this definition of "pockets to trap the pressure". Can we get some drawings or something else what can show to us what is legal and what is absolutely illegal ?

It would be hard to draw what you can not do. Substitute the word "hole" for the word "pocket" and that might make it more understandable for you.

The way I view the rules, #3 is the only legal picture that you have drawn, and it may be illegal.

i don't think any of the dashes are what they had in mind when writing the rules. but a pocket or hole is a five sided box none of them are by defination a pocket. then again there is no pictures of dashes like any of those in the rule book. "The way I view the rules" why are you veiwing the rules and not reading them? is it that this whole dash thing was not writen in there? very intested to see if any of those dashs are legal.

Just a note, these are not about dashboards. There is this transition area after the dashboard and before the 30" rod test starts. These are about that area, as there were some clarifications released about the transition area.

Build it flat, and you won't have a problem. If you dont like this definition, build it and goto a certified event and see how it goes.
If you dare to push the rules to the limit, be prepared for the rules to push back.

I am amazed you didn't say that's what all the finns have done since around '96 when they started dB Drag in Finland...
btw. just on a side note, Mikko has been competing in dB Drag longer than me and you have been judging. I guess that only means he have had lot's of time to push the rules
Okey, "THE FINNS" can be little difficult and cause us all some headaches. Still I think they are an asset to this sport and gives some color and makes it more interesting. More of you guys should meet them in person and try to get over with the hate you have against them (us), especially you Tor
I can honestly say that these guys are really not trying to cheat. They are not like that. But they are creative for sure! (How do you think the Finns survived pretty much alone against 1,5 million Russian solders by killing like a million and "only" losing 25 000 from our own small forces! Oh well, this forum was not about history was it... lol here is something about that history )

Tor I dont think you are honest when you say that you dont have anything against the Finns.. I have sean you jumping on Mikko several times and this time he just ask nicely so he dont have to go home with a DQ again..
I think that Mikko dont trust his own understanding of the rules anymore, he asks one more time to be sure..

You CANNOT have a "pocket" to trap pressure... the most you can have is the driver side dash 3" higher than the passenger side a mic jig length away from the sensor, and that 3" can only be 3 inches below the lowest point of the windsheild.... i understand that Mikko is trying to get as loud as possible but the rules are very specific as to what you can and cannot do in the extreme class, and it also says that if it doesnt specifically say that you CAN do something then you CANNOT do it... the rules DO NOT say that that you may bulid a "pocket", therefore no matter how you define it IT CANNOT BE DONE.
