I dont understand this. I live in Ohio and it is one of the top states for points. It was my understanding (When I signed up for DB DRAG) that you would only need 100 points to qualify for finals and the top in spl scores would go. I was really excited because I thought that I was going to go to finals, now with this points multiplier I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to finals. Ive worked really hard on my system (I know everyone else has also.) and now I'm probably not going to finals. If I would have known this I wouldnt have ordered all this new equiptment which Ive been saving up for since my first comp this year. I dont want to be a jerk about it (Even though I probably do) its just crazy that I've spent all this money and now Im stuck. Is there anyway that each class the person with the highest certified spl score and 100+ points have a spot for finals??? PLEASE??
Thanks for listening

We have never had a "target" number of points required to qualify for the dB Drag Racing Finals. Since our first finals (1998), we have always invited the top 100 points accruing competitors. Actually, we invite competitors based on their position in the leaderboard until we have 100 RSVPs. This season, we had hoped to invite the top 100, and then invite an additional 100 based on their points and the number of attainable points in their state. Unfortunately, after the Fire Mashall for the Nashville Convention Center modified our floor plan, we only have 171 pit stalls left. That is how many competitors will be competing at the Finals this year.
Good luck.
