Ok ive come to the conclusion my current bumps me into extreme. IM going to compete in it to see how I may fair, evan thuogh its not fully moded.lol But its kool.I have a 92 4 door tempo. The factory door panels are bulky. The top half is flat vinyl. The bottom is bulky plastic with very little carpetand the door speaker is concealed behind it. Well I have two 6.5s in each door also the door speaker behind the door panel dosnt sound well .IT muffles the sound. what if I cut the factory door panelin half and built the bottom with 1/2 inch wood carpeted and used the top half and carpet it or vynil the whole thing? Will that be super stock? I like the flat look and itll accomidate my 4 6.5s. And the sole purpose would be doorspeakers. Also if this works may I dropp down to super stock ,will my points go with me even though I changed classes Or may I change at finals and compete IN super stock? If my door panel doesnt work I may jsut compete in super stock at finals so I dont get totally spanked.

You may make cosmetic changes ONLY if they don't significantly enhance your SPL. I would say that using 1/2 wood for your door panels would qualify as a modification and therefore, you would need to compete in Extreme. If you want to use 1/4" fiberboard covered with vinyl, I think that would be acceptable for Super Street. (You might qualify for Street depending upon the rest of your installation.)
You will keep all of your points, regardless of the class in which they were earned.
