I have a ford expedition i would like to use in street stock a, can i have the 3rd row seats down or out to have my enclosure, cause if not i would have to either rebuild the truck or find a new class.

My understanding is that all seats have to remain in place and functional. You can fold them down in the lanes but must be able to demonstrate the ability to lock them back up. I did get varying answers to that question from judges though, so you might want to shoot wayne an email about it.

Street Stock has a Normal-Use provision B-Pillar fwd only. That means behind the B-Pillar you can do anything you want.

In the lanes @ Finals I had to demonstrate that my rear seat was still functional as well.

I competed in my wife's 07 Expedition, with 4 L7-10's in a sealed enclosure behind the third row seat.

Not at Finals, but at a couple of shows this year.

this is what the rules state:

3-9a Nothing in the sound system may interfere with the normal use and / or operation of the vehicle in front of the B-Pillar.
3-9b Seats may be folded for competition, but may not be removed from the vehicle. Competitors who fold their seats must be able to demonstrate that the installation of the sound system does not interfere with the normal operation of the seats that were folded.

If the seat is not in front of the b-pillar then it should be ok to have the 3rd row seat down.

As the 08 rules go, any seat behind the b pillar may be removed.

Funny that it states no seat my be removed.....in the Street it says that this could be done.

Additional Guidelines:

* If a vehicle has more than 2 rows of seating, then the additional rows (3+) may be removed at the competitor's discretion.

BUT once again that is for Street NOT Street Stock. I would say the best bet would be call Wayne and ask.

Indeed it says seats may not be removed. But this is refering to the front seats only. Because StreetStock is a "Normal Use" class from the b pillar forward only. Anything may be changed or removed in the rear of the vehicle.
