can i solder power wire directly to an amplifiers pcb ? (factory connector can't take more than AWG 1)

why would you want to do that and void an amps warrenty why dont you just use a set of reducers

or just trim the wire down

No. But trust me the prints are mostly very thin so why big wires. Make a lot of wires from the front to the back. And then from a central copperbar an very short wire that will fit. We have always wires that are shorter then 30CM from the copperbar to the amplifier. Then we dont need oversized wires.
