I have managed to slightly damage one of my amplifiers and my question is regarding the legality of how I intend to repair it, as it is a slight change to the amplifier.
My amp has insert style terminals on the outputs and through repeated use (and using large cable) I have managed to strip out the threads for the grub screws that hold the wire in the terminal, thus causing the possibility of an inconsistent connection.
To fix this, I'm planning to remove the old terminal block and screw/solder 2 bits of copper to the solder pads inside the amp. These will extend to outside the amp through the existing hole in the casing, where I will drill a hole in them and attach lugged speaker cable to them with a nut and bolt.
Would this count as a 'modification' for the purposes of dbDrag?
