if the vehicle is allowed to run, the alt will charge at 14.4-14.9 volts, as that is the factory v/r setting..voltage will need to be raised up a bit to compensate. battery"oem"...clarification, lead acid type would be more accurate.

I believe you can have as many runs as you want from batt to amp. Wish they would have limited that as well though...would have been cheaper. LOL

This is the noob class, they aint going to have masses of runs for thier 1000W amp.
People dont build for this class, they already fit in it because they dont fit elsewhere.
I cant believe people dont realise this is an entry to dB Drag not a chance to drop down and kick butt.

You are correct, the Street Stock classes are intended to attract new competitors to the sport. But, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be a class that's not competitive. Some people may compete in Street Stock because they are on a budget, not because they aren't knowledgeable. The best part about these classes is that everyone will be competing with pretty much the same power, cone area etc. It will be about the build not the money spent. This can be a great place for anyone and everyone to play, be competitive, and not spend there life savings doing it. Newbies should be competitive to start and will learn from others as they go.

Newcomers will compete in FreeStyle, get a taste and move up into SStock. They will still be learning, a stepping stone before Street or Max.
We dont need vets dropping down and scoring high, even if it is the same equipment.
This is ideal for people to learn and to get into the sport without having to worry too much about the next guy because the next guy is in the same boat they are.
Id like to think any dragger that drops into SStock atleast has the balls to move up a class or two if theres enough new guys to have a good battle. This would show them how high the equipment can score yet still giving one of them the chance to take first.

Also I agree on your comments Ben.
There 're many non-hardcore competitors out there that forced to compete in street classes because there werent any other class to go. (And they've been beaten by tons of db's) I think they deserve the tight of choosing a more competitive and affordable class!!! Don't you think?

I think it`s going to be another beating for new competors when experienced competers drop down.

I think it should be up to each individuals discretion. Atleast the rookies would not be at a huge disadvantage from an equipment standpoint.

i deff agree with chris on this. this is goin to be a very competitive class because of the level playing field on equipment. and if the newbies come in and are doin a 145 and they win it at finals blah blah blah...are they goin to move up to street or street max were the numbers are 10dbs to 15dbs higher ??? more times then not they wont...so they are goin to stay in that class and clean house. some guy that is very knowledgable will end up winning it that is new to drag but not to spl comps....so what does it matter if some vets come down and play...cause u will need a hatch to win...just like u need a rex in street. so what do u think is the different from street stock? ya dont think people will catch on to that...they will...so once again people will find the best thing next to a rex and use it to then not be able to use that vehicle cause it is like the rex or panda in street ect ect.....so what is the big deal with some season pros coming down ??? its EXACTLY like street but with equipment list to pick from....

I personally dont thik is quite right for competitor that has a quite of experience of competing to drop down to a lower class like the matrix or stock. that will really show what low class you are by not having enouh balls and sticking to the program !

Yeah, the class will have a list to use, but the seasoned competitors should have a clue on building the best enclosures, something noob's don't know yet. There should be rule for the new street stock classes that forbids seasoned guys from dropping down.
