I mean if Street A and B are put together. Thats ok cause both scores are very close together and were also close together in the past. But whats about the SS 1-2 NW ??? In what class that cars (doing about 163) should go. SS 1-2. That score is by 4 db higher. SM 1-2? hmmm......16 volt setup with many batts against 12 volt setup with just one battery. Also the way of building up pressure is totally different.

Can a SC car ever do a 164+ ? I really doubt. Combining SC and SS1-2NW would cause an unfair match.

I also agree to Wayne to reduce the number of classes. Not only cause that less trophies will be needed. But we would see more competitors in each class making the competition much more interesting [Smile]

Its just very sad for concerned teams whose class gets eleminated

Street C is already over 160. Changing a street C system to 16v and adding a few batteries and amps will most certainly let them be able to get to 164.

combine SA and SB basically means drop SA. why would you drop the class half the local competitors enter?

I say instead of getting rid of nw,limit the max amplifier limit to 4 amps total,or keep it,and leave it like it is.

If you look at the 5 most popular classes, they are St A, B, C, SS1-2NW and SS 1-2...so why would Wayne even consider doing away with one of the 5 most popular classes...? I think it's just a rumor and don't think it's going away.

Limit amps to 4(or 4 mono blocks) and let unlimted subwoofers. Theres only so much room below the window line.

that doesn't mean they showed up at finals tho. One example just random off the list.
4 Indy 161.9-145.1
8 France 162.8-154.6
5 Norway 155.8-148.3
5 San Mateo 161.7-144.5
1 Tampa 161.8
1 Greece 161.8

Total 24

The other question is how many cars compete in NW that should be a street car? What puts them in NW?

All no wall is good for is the kid that comes to a show with the speaker box in the back seat and doesn't know any better. I think we should get rid of it and come out with more suitable classes for the new guy.

Extra batteries, box in wrong place, too much deadening in the back. The list is huge.

Close NW, make these guys play against wall cars, that will teach them.

Except for the battery issue that would be SM not SS. This is why SM was created, for the guy with a wall, deadning, etc but not batts and amps.

Well get ride of NW and what becomes the entrey level SS class. Yea it still cost a good amount but not like 1-2 wall.

Well no wall has what a 163 to be close to a record ? What does it take to becompetive in SS 1-2 ? Like at or close to a 70 ?
So now the NW ALL the guys in the mid/high 50's have to get a LOT louder or drop all there batterys, and that's going to make them quit no to metchen buying those multicell batterys....unless those get canned as well.

So what would I be left to do....2 Alts 16 12 volt batterys and 2 amp's and 1 sub. Why would I even try in SS 1-2 wall. In NW I have I have a chance of doing OK, in wall I wouldn't even make the brackets.

I know I wouldn't even try and build/compete for a class that cost more than I make in a YEAR.

Removeing this class would leave a LOT of competors with out a place to move to.

If the Street max class's were combined all competors would be able to use prety much every thing they have now.

Street Class stands to loose what there multicell battery, and maybe combine to class's that have realy close number's.

Extreme would just go head to head.....at what a couple shows a year. Even those guys still have fairly close number's...what 10 DB split at most.

Just the way I see things.

Dude. Streetmax classes are the "entry level" Superstreet classes.

Multicell batteries don;t gain you THAT much from NSB90s or Stinger 2150s etc. If your not doing a 166 with NSBs your not gonna do a 166.7+ with multicell batts.
