SGK,PETER,MIKKO I agree with you. The only one, who have to express to it, is Wayne Harris, Why is he quiet? The guessings are starting and it discourage players. The change of rules doesn´t bring anything good.

It's unbelievably, we get no infos for the rules in 2008. At the moment we rebuild our hole car and if some change in the rules for 2008 in the next weeks we won't rebuild our work.
We pay lots of money in that hobby and these controversy are very nonprofessional. So many changes during the season kill dB-Drag!!!

If this is more than nasty rumour and if they really do this dramactic changte in this point of season it can cause serious problems.
I am quite sure that no one from SS3-4 or ext classes wasn't prepare that their classes will be dropped during this season.
you know how the he said, she said works...usually wrong info... i hope this is the case as well...

Well, my new extreme vehicle that I have been building since october/november of 06' is now on hold until this all get settled. What a waste of time this seems like as I have spent so much time building this just for ext 1 or 2 and now all these changes. What has this all come to? adding newbie friendly classes thelp them at all. The veterans will just dominate these new classes just as they always do.

If this actually happens with the Extreme classes, who is going to be the final say in whether an enclosure is a bandpass or not? Most of the judges I know of have a good overall knowledge of car audio installations/application, but how many of them are advanced in enclosure theory and design? One could very easily argue that even with the early sealed/ported wall designs, they were bandpass as well.....

Why are they changing the EXT class? If they want more newcommers why change a class with ZERO newcommers?
How many START with an Extreme car? Well I had only competed at two competitions before we started with our EXT car, but I started out in STREET, not EXTREME! And only reason we did our Extreme car was that we where members of a team that already was in Extreme and that we had a company that backed us up.

I have been competing in street max and super street for a few years. Just thought i'd jump up to extreme since there arent that many in it in comparison to the other classes.

NO 100% true rookie will ever start in Extreme...
Sorry but I was a newbie that started in EXTREME 4 yrs ago. The first class I ever ran in was Extreme 5+. I have never ran in any other class but Extreme. This is my 4th year in it, 3rd year with a true extreme vehicle. We should try to get more people in the class by keeping it separated. That way newcomers who want to try it can be somewhat competitive.

If the extreme division does get changed and divided by type of enclosure, ie bandpass and wall-and-port. I will opt to go with the newbie wall-and-port class since it is my first year in extreme. I would obviously have no chance in an unlimited class with bandpass. I am set up for band pass right now but would switch over to wall-and-port. Which of the two types would you be trying to compete in Danielle?

I definitely agree with the fact that Extreme should be Extreme. I have no idea why there would be a separation of Bandpass and non bandpass? Yes, one design is far superior to the other, as sealed vs ported was years ago. Did we seperate sealed and ported vehicles?
I'm sure that part of it was a rumor, I certainly hope so.

Jim is a bandpass. That would be WAY to much work to change him now.
