would it make sense to anyone to limit street and street max to use 1 amp per sub. This is like IDBL where 1 amp is comprised of one heat sink so the Maxximus and any mono amp will be treated the same.
Simple, if you have 2 subs, you can use 2 amps, if you have 4 subs, you can use 4 amps.
I really think these rules must be evaluated since amps are getting crazy powerful nowadays.

I must agree. not sure how to change it, but something needs to happen.

soo 2 apx 12s and 2 kicker warhorses, atomic 7000.1s, ab 700.1s, stetsom 7000s, that idea doesn't really do much it'll lower the scores abit but they will still show the same pattern

Yeah but take SM3-4 for example. You can take 2 7000s and strap them to one sub....... so your making it harder to get those scores unless they buy bigger amps.

yes but what'lll happen is if u limit i then the smaller guys who can only afford to buy say 1 1200 at a time will be cut from 4800 watts to 2400 watts, ur taking the higher scores and knocking them down a knotch and taking some of the smaller guys with mid to low scores and taking them down tooo

So everybody would be forced to buy the maximum amount of woofers allowed in his class to be competitive...
Not a good idea!

i agree with dieter. a few things would happen first pandas dont have much room for 3 tens and 3 amps for street b and so on. it would make people have to buy amps like the warhorse, or the crown. then you would prob have suv,s start to beat everyone cause it can fit more stuff in it and still keep a good number. just leave the rules alone its not going to be cheap anyways u look at it.

Leave the current classes alone... make other classes for people with "small" amps -- a true entry level "street" class like something you may encounter on the street (duh?). Seems like a solution that would benefit both groups of people, eh?

Thats part of the point. Scores will come down so the majority of people that are too intimidated to compete wont feel as threatened now. It becomes a little more affordable too. I dont think this is the only solution, just a part of it. Current draw ratings or fuse ratings should be taken into account too.
If we open up Street class so that anyone with a Circuit City or best buy system can compete, then attendance would rise and retailers will be supported much better.
I dont think any Street system should have more than 2000w-3000w, but how to control that, I dont know.

why not but first i would like to know how much ampere u can get out of 3.3 meter (panda length) and 5.5 meter (opel astra length) 50mm˛ wire. If there is a small difference (+-5%) i would say...... lets change the rules

What about the guys in vans in smax 1-2?
Amps in the back over a single run of 0 gauge that is 20+ ft long. compared to a panda that is half of that.
Limiting wire will just make vehicle choice more important

That wont matter , even with a 5,5m wire in a panda it will still be louder , but its about new guys not being able to by 7kw amps , with a wire restriction you have no need for 7kw amps .
A beginner can buy a panda or crx , but its the equipment that they cant buy .

I would not be as sure. Of course its very hard to get the top competitors in the street. But when we stopped competing (may 2006) with our astra we had a very good efficiency out of the box. We´ve done 153.3 with just 2.3 KW. With an NSB90 we´ve done a 154.5 with a voltage drop of 11.5. Unfortunately we had big problems in fitting 4 big amps into the car otherwise we would may do for sure 156/157+.
The reason why i´ve mentioned the length of the wire is that u need to have almost the same chance to get the loudest score. Even its not a panda.

If you want to make a standard lenght , shorter cars will have more runs then longer vehicles . Its very hard for a judge to guess how long a wire is , its not in a straight line in a car . But its very easy to count them .

Just go back to the 1 amp any size in st classes and 1 run of zero gauge,

Just go back to normal batteries everybody have in a normal car ......... that would be already a good way Nobody needs overpriced home-made-batteries

just throw it away ? cause when they will be illegal nobody will buy it
I like to quote Tor from a topic of 04-21-2006
"At this time we have NOT made any decissions regards to batteries for 2007 season, BUT as I have said before, we may whant to change the rules, or atleast clarify what a 12V battery is, AND if you have invested or used alot of money on a battery, it can be illegal next year. We (certified judges and dBDRA) can not guarantee anyone that "pushes" the battery rules, that their batteries will be legal next season... "
