just curious, since u can build a wall, is it legal to have a removable rear window?

just to get to stuff easier, and for looks.

just curious if this would be legal, say replacing the rear window with something like aluminum diamond plate/checker plate.

just curious, thanks

I see no reason why not, for cosmetic reasons.

But if it allows you more space/access to fit equipment, its no.

ya, definatly wouldnt gain any space, if anything id lose a tiny bit by adding steel to bolt down to.

just was thinking it would be a lot easier to do some wiring and help a lit with the build(being able to get to a lot more while building the wall)

anywyas, thanks for your response, but id just like to hear a few more responses before i do anything, just incase.

thanks
Mat

Feel free to take windows out and build the wall but they must be replaced after wards.

Altering the external skin to allow equipment to be placed in an area that wouldnt be posible without the skin having been altered is illegal.

Wait as long as you want, you will not get the answer you want.

to mr. bump, there will be no equipment in there, just a hell of as lot easier to take out a removeable peice of metal then to take out a brittle window and replace it again.

"The skin", thats the outside shape of the car correct?

the removeable window would be the same shape/contour as the window, and would still be flush with the lines for the window, just instead of glass it would be steel.

sorry if im repeting myself, i just dont want to get d/q'd for something as simple as this.

and dbsteve, is that yes its allowed/legal?

thanks again guys
