For the Certified Class category, you have to have competed at a Certified event in the class you plan on competing at finals in, before August 18th.
Does World Finals from last year count?
I'm trying to look and get an idea of who could potentially be in Ext 3-4, and I'm assuming World Finals from last year could not be used as your certified class setting show?

Looks like August for World, and Sept for Regional?

When did it change? so if my certified score is low right now then the last 2x show I was going to attend is pointless because it will be past August? I do have all my points tho.

The cutoff for changing your class and memberships was Sept 16 for Finals. If you do not have a certified in the class you want by cutoff you have to go in the class you have a certified in.
If you have a Certified class and Membership by Cutoff then you can attend shows after the cutoff to get needed points and you can Attend Multipoint events to raise your certified SPL in your Certified class.

Craig, I never take that for granted, someone could be out there working their tail off and show up at finals with a 7 db gain, you never know. I'm sure Scott thought he had nothing to worry about too!
If you look at this link of cutoff dates, the certified cutoff for National and World finals was August 19th, Regional finals is Sept 16th

No last years finals does not count. You need a certified and be a member by Aug. 19th. You can improve your certified and get points untill sept. 16th. After that it is 2008 points.

Wow, you need to read your own post then, because you distinctly said sept 16th was the certified cutoff, when it was August 19th for National and world Finals?
Anyway, its beside the point now, I was just wondering about the finals carryover

Hi Mike, how is it? There is always confusion about the cut off things. The cut off for "raising" points and certified score in the (after aug 19) SELECTED class is Sep. 16th. BUT, you have to be a member and ANY certified score in the desired class WITH the vehicle you want to take to the finals. So, if somebody hasnt introduced a new car on his MEMBER account until Aug. 19th, there cannot be a new car. We have that example here in Germany at the moment. Somebody used a new car in SS5+ last weekend. But its one week too late now for WORLD FINALS. (or even setting world records in dB Drag) BUT: Here in Germany , for german finals, we have own deadlines. These are Sep. 16th for points and certified and membership. So this car can compete at german, but not at world finals. And if your worried about your class ( I think your NOT ) so just look who pooped up after aug 19th and be sure that he isnt allowed. But check if the car had a lower certified before.
I THINK this is 100% correct what I told now, but I am never sure bc. there is always a little room for interpretation bc. of the language barrier. So excuse, if not.

Yeah, I know that people can raise scores etc after the 19th. My main thing is that I can now sit down and look at all the certifieds in my class and see who could potentially be in it at finals.
Again, as far as being NOT concerned with my class... I think as soon as someone gets ****y enough to think they have a class locked down and they "can't lose", they are going to become a target and get a rude awakening. If I start taking that sort of thing for granted, I deserve to lose!

Yes ! Thats my thoughts always too Once it was close to that situation for me, but that person made an error and did not really qualify ! They tried to circumvent the rules and after that, they failed and got a DQ.
But honestly, I THINK your save, and if I think that, it cannot slab back to you
