Hi,
new interesting question:
If I am hosting an Event (for example my Mammut Ü this weekend)
am I allowed to deny the entrance for some given persons
because I have "some issues" with them?
And others have issues also ?
Last year I was close to that, but I let it go.
This year I may say : Not you ! Leave the Event...

Is that my right?
Or do I have to expect sanctions against me
when I do that?
Its just to protect me and other competitors.

No, its not a danger for the anybodies life [Smile]
But its somebody who used me and my name for
his own and at the end he "screwed" me.
And so he did also with other people. Has not a good
reputation in this sport and did and does very questionable things.
Its not just that I dont like his nose or so.
And I am sure I will have the support of the
most other people on my event if I dont let
him run through the lanes.

Thanks for the replies.

Morrrgen Jorrrgen ! [Smile]
Thanks, but this is not possible to contact him,
because I try to contact him since YEARS.
Not possible to reach him by phone, mail or whatever.
He just dont respond.
(I guess you know who it is [Smile] And if you need something,
just come to my house and grab what you want and keep it forever haha)
I dont even think that he plans to come, but
if, I will not let him run.
He can sue me for spending gas, but he can
substract that from "my bill"...

Ok, thanks, I m the boss at my show and will
do the best for all.

Just a thought, but if this "person" comes up 4 points short of finals and wants to attend, he can legitimately blame it on you. In a sport that is supposed to be fair for everyone, this could become as big as an issue as a judge disqualifying a competitor from WF while letting another competitor get by with the same thing.

I think that denying entry to one specific person is not something a professional organization should do. While I can completely understand your feelings, advocating any sort of bias is a step in the wrong direction. It is your show, but you are representing dB Drag and dB Drag does not actively support favoritism of any sort.

Perhaps if this issue is very serious and you have a lot of support, you should just try to get this person banned from dB Drag.

Hi,
thanks for your thoughts. That are normally my thoughts also. But I came "short" for some
finals and Events and some "money" because of
the doings of this individual. And other competitors
also.
For example this person dont show up very often,
uses just the events he needs, and the people,
doeas questionable things (maybe grey area and
legal, but still questionable and not really fair).
Some people quit dB Drag because of the doings
of this person. So denying his entry (not basically,
just if something is suspicios), is not against
this sport, it is GOOD for this sport, believe me [Smile]
So its not just a personal thing and some people
may aplaude if I dont let him run. And maybe some
people will be angry, but these are not the
ones who know the facts.

But I will not go so far to ban him from dB Drag.
Guide him to the right way, but I tried that
for years, looked good, but then failed [Frown]
Now my patience has come to an end and after
seeing
people quitting dB Drag and suffering because
of his doings, somebody must take action.
His just should dissappear from the car audio
scene, and all people will be happy...

MM [Razz]
(on one side I already took action, with success,
and other people took legal action on business
side against him, and won...)

pull his car for inspection and pick it apart [Big Grin]

Then decide to not let him run [Eek!] Now that would be interesting.

But seriously, your paying to host the show and everything so I would say like DB steve said your the boss.

So, event is over and he didnt even show up.
What a luck (as sad as it is that you are lucky
if someone doesnt show up).
Maybe next time, or never I have to deal with it.
Thanks for the replies guys...
