well since making your own rear panel's is legal (the crx danny did) can I make a false floor so I can mount my amp's under glass for a nicer look? thanx

you should be able to do that if it is cometic just like the top of a certain green and yellow crx.

FYI, brad cut the scoop off his car a couple years ago, and the score didnt change a bit.

To answer the original question, you can make your install look good, so I think a false floor would be fine, provided you keep everything below the window line.

I think that he thinks that you were insinuating that the roof thing was to stiffen the roof and help raise his score as well as cosmetics.

i would have no problem with a false floor. like the rules say cosmetic mods are aloud. aslong as they are done for looks like those pannels danny built was very very thin its amazing that they are still together. very few crx's even have the factory floor stuff in most take that flip cover out and put amps there. im planing on doing that for mine and putting a 1/8inch layer of plexy over the amp to make a pretty cool amp rack. but anyways what ive heard from most judges is the better it looks the more chance it has to be ok. so just make it look great. hope that helps
