You can fiberglass to the B pillar but nothing can go be infront of the B pillar. Take a string and run it up and down the door molding attached to the B pillar nothing is allowed past it.

I know a guy used racing seats (had padding on it) in his vehicle in SM1-2 and was fine at World Finals. I believe that can be aftermarket but can't be like those hard plastic ones has to have something with padding to represent OEM.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone. [Smile]

From what I remember you cannot modify the area that the string actually ises to judge the string test.

If you glass to the edge then you are bringing th b-piller forward which is not legal.

Seat belt and questions have been brought up may times. Many believe that replacement seats must use the factory mounting points, and others do not. Some judges will allow you to remove the seat belts others look at it under the normal use rule.

As said many times before. If it doesn't say you can in the rulebook the then you shouldn't do it. [Smile]

there is nothing saying that u can or cannot have seat belts. technically its behind the bpillar. i was just gonna fiberglass onto the backside of the bpillar so that should be fine. but if i cant i wont. its not neccessary.

It's only normal use in front of the b-pillar.

We built right up to our b-pillar(well with in about 5mm of it, this seen us remove the seatbelts and the stalks that they clip into (as they were all behind the b-pillar.

Our car was judged by the head of dB Drag in Australia with no problems (well not b-pillar probs [Razz] )

Oh yeah, this was for SM1-2.

You take the the seat belts off if they are behind the front edge of the B pillar. My astro has no seat belts as don't almost every other one Ive seen.
