What is the ruling on mounting a cd changer in the street class.

keep it behind the b pillar. Unless ya put it in the glove box or center console or some other "custom" type location.

so custom location like under a hood or under driver seat would be cool.

Under seat (as long as the seat has original movement not restricted) OK

Under hood (engine bay?) is not going to fly.

i had mine under the hood in 2005
was legal at that time

Same thing I ran my changer since 1998 in my civic under the hood. The car was a street beat ride 12 15s.
