My 2cents

Just for the record Real battery manufacturers do build these batteries. Companies may have them configured to their needs I.E. 800CuIn by the manufacturer or do it themselves. They are definatly avalible in various shapes and sizes from the manufacturer.

As for it being a REAL audio product we sell tons of them, just not 800cuIn versions. Come to think of it I don't think any have been sold to competitors by us. We gave a few prototypes away a few years ago though. I have one in my car and it works great.

One thing I really find funny IMHO: One person that seems to be pretty upset about these, runs the same companies equipment. People are talking about boycotting dB Drag shows if the batteries are ran. If it really bothers you that much why not pull out your equipment and boycott them until they quit selling batteries. [Roll Eyes]

I really can't see anyone doing that because it is expensive yet great equipment. Now the same company that builds this expensive yet great equipment has a battery that makes them work even better, it would only make sense to use the battery also.

It takes the best equipment to win in dB Drag and the best equipment doesn't come cheap.

I beleive this was decided by the judges and Wayne a year ago, the battery in question wasn't as expensive but definatly was multi cell in design. So yeah, my guess is this thread is a waste of time.

not a isngle true BATTERY manufacturer has made these yet.

it's only competitiors making them, and other companies, who are not true BATTERY manufacturers.

and right now... how many COMPETITORS actually have them????

probably can count them all on two hands, worldwide.

and those people were warned last year.. i quote Tor " for all of you pushing the battery rules, be prepared for the rules to push back next year"

So you are saying that Xstatic BATCAP is not a battery manufacturer?

they dont make multicell STREET CLASS batteries.

you might have missed it, but we are talking about STREET batteries, not batteries for extreme.

last time i checked, the 8400 is 1068.75ci just slightly over the 800ci rule. therefor, it's out of the equation.

models 300 and 400 are not meant to be used without a battery, they are meant to be hooked up at the amp, therefore they are out of the equation.

model 800 means nothing to street competitors.

super 100 and super 150, also are not batteries and are both 16v therefore not legal for street.

so, while xtatic is a reckognized company, they are not relavent to this discussion.

Nothing is being discussed in the judges forum. Even between judges via telephone, emails, priviate messages or instant messenger, nothing is being discussed.

thanks billy. it wasn't listed on thier site anywhere. but i had heard the rumor that the DD battery was being built by xtatic.

the funny thing is that when i called DD before finals, and was told i couldn't get one till after finals, i was also told that DD was building the batteries, individually, and in house.

i also heard later, that in fact xtatic was making the battery for them.

it all just makes me chuckle. [Smile]
