The door panels in danny's toyota are staying on just fine at the scores it is doing, and they are 100% factory. The doors might be falling off, but the panels are still attached. Do what you gotta do, but dont come cryin when you get put in extreme where you belong.
Comparing Fiat/Seat and Toymota is laughable.
But then so is comparing 164s and 167s
I see I have been brought into this mess that was about door panels and now is about scores and who works on what car!!
Johnny is a first class guy and a VERY STRONG part of the TOYOTA not TOYMOTA, also we will see who does what at finals 164 will not win in the class I can promise you that and I am only running 4 amps at 0.7 right now and will unload some bags of sand at finals if you would like to come and pick some up!!!!!!

That panda in the picture has way too many screws in it to be legal. I personally think 10 screws would be a good number, that would hold any door panel in any car just fine.

Well whats the diffrence of them putting 50 screws in a door panel than renforcing all the factory welds. Neither is legal but it doesn't seem to stop some people.
And to answer the original post I wouold say it would be deemed illegal because it is not OEM equivelant.

In my opinion thats also a problem. Everybody is hidding his car. U even donīt get any possibility to take a look into the car to check if everything looks to be legal. U also donīt see if somebody is changing his setup during a competition.
Of course nobody has to show his box. But how u wanna do a protest if u even canīt take a look in the car.
With a decision like that u will also see less cheating and everybody will try to work 100% legal

The judges have taken pics of my doorpanels because they found them very nice and within the spirit of the rules. They have fabric on them and are hold in place with 6 very small screws at the place of the normal plastic clips.
So no need to put everybody in extreme

I totally agree about the "closed car" BS. After seeing several cars covered up all the time in Sinsheim, i have made a new rule for all events in Denmark.
All cars MUST be open to the puclic. Its illegal to cover up your car or install at any time during a event.
Its so much more fun for spectators, when they can see whats going on in the cars. Nobody want to look at 10 pandas covered in ugly blankets.

so you build a loud car and must show all the secrets ?? I don't think loud guy's will compete in denmark and what about triple pointers ??

Where did that come from ?

I cant see all the secrets, by looking into the trunk of a car - can you ?
Yes, i can see the outside shape of the box, and i can try to copy it. But if it was so easy, i dont understand why nobody is "just" copying the loudest SM and SS cars, where they can easily see the boxes through the windshield... Everybody should be doing 162+ in SM1-2, and 164+ in SM3-4 etc....
There has never been any loud competitor competing in Denmark - besides Danes, and nobody has stopped competing becourse of this. Óne is using a "not as loud" box though, but he actually likes the rule.
And if somebody want to come they are welcome - but they have to open their cars at ALL events, including 3X.

I think it should be that way at all events. Bob P. here in the US SS 5+ has his open all the time you can look inside the box anywere you want. he doesnt care. Its not that easy to get loud. I see alot of people use the same box he has and isnt close to the score he does. People want this sport to grow but dont give the spectators anything to look at. Like at SBN most cars were covered and couldnt see anything inside. If they cant see anything they wont come to the event and look.

I do like the idea, but I do have questions about the fact that you enforce a rule that isn`t stated in the rulebook. Can every country make there own rules, like when the belgian judges would say: only red cars can compete
