Why not , you can have dampning everywhere you want as long as you respect the rules . It dousnt say where you must use dampning , just 4 mm . Above window line , thats street rules , below , you can do whatever you want except cut

Please can I have a window line in my car specified.
This will be about 1/2 inch above the rear window line.
Once I get this window line, I can mess with my cars suspension, to enable me to get it in and out of the garage.
There will be no denial of this request, as you cant have it both ways, and do something specifically to help 1 car, especially as I have asked before, and was ignored, and now a non-ground related window line system has been implemented for a different car.
Oh and you cant say no, use the window line rule, as if I had a Panda, I could jack up the back of my panda how the h3ll I wanted, as its now measured to a screw hole. I want to jack the back of my car, so I want my own reference point.

Only behind panels etc.
Can someone please confirm this?
I posted this question in another thread but was told that I can have it on exposed panels in the hatch/trunk area..?

Its the trunk/boot, what does it matter if you can see sound deadening?

^^ Not really because we're talking about a difference in cosmetics...
I'd still stay within the 4mm deadening rule, it just wouldn't be pretty.

well i thing that the rule is not good because it's not honest for panda man.....
so if you take this point on a panda, you must take the same point for every car because with the other car you can go out some pressure of the tire and win few inch.......
it's not the same for every body and it's not fun

yes maybe i want to understand a lilte bit sorry
i don't say that for STREET A and B car but STREET C because the box is bigger than the other street class
but the probleme is the window line for a normal car with 200kilo of materiel because the front window go up so the window line can go up a lillte bit
is not true??

It does not matter if the car is heawier in the back, the window line is still the same.. even if the car is lowered in the back and liftet in the front, the window line is still the same. You need to look at how the car is buildt to find the correct window line.

If you say that the window line is straight from the lowest point of the front window, and straight back, whitout looking at the car, think about how high you can have the box in this car:
And that is WRONG !

So I can jack up the back of my car then as its all relevant to how the car is built, not how it sits with weight in it?

This rule is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Why can't we use the actual window line of the car and then go by the lowest window in the car which is the windshield for a Panda. I can't believe this is the best we can come up with who's stupid idea was this

actualy they do and for me it is not a problem it's only a problem for the cars that have been legal in the past that is a sad thing but they can't do anything about it you just should take it the way it is and live with it
the problem with panda's is that the windowline goes up from front to rear and most of the the windowline is straigth
I'm happy I didn't build my car before this issue
