I have been told by a few people that i need a special high output alt for my 6.5l deisel engine . It needs a special racing pulley and has to be hot rated at low rpm's because deisels idle at a lower rpm's than gas engines . I was also told not to use deep cycle batteries in my rig because they dont have the cranking power needed for deisels . So what i guess i need is a pheonix gold 200 amp alt and a few large tractor type batteries . Does anyone have any experiance with deisels and high output alt and batteries ? Any input or help would be appreciated .
