i recently aquired an 83 lebaron convertable. it has since been named "The ****Box". it has many problems, and most are being worked on. you guys would laugh if you saw it. most of the engines pollution controls have been removed over the years (i guess due to breakdown), and various other problems.
my question begins here, i want to install a rather large (large by my means, not by alot of you guys though) stereo in this car. i will later move the stereo to a better car, but for now it's stuck in this one. the stereo at this point will consist if:
1x earthquake ph-d2 or Mmats d300hc
1x PPI 4480 (i think thats what i'll use, not sure yet) for the fronts
2x 15" Crystal CMP
and probably CDTech components.
this is the basic system.
now, this car has a little alternator (it's not small physically, but it's from 1983, how much current can is possibly be making), and the battery is tiny, and i mean tiny.
k, there's lots of room in the engine compartment for a second or even a few batteries (maybe I'll steal one from a Front-end loader or some other large construction vehicle there's a CAT plant near me, and the buggers are on strike, some one tried to blow the place up with a pipe bomb, but thats another story. stop getting me sidetracked )
also since the airconditioning was a long time dead, so i removed the compressor pump, and various other stuff. now there's a space right above the original alternator and a big mounting plate from the compressor. my dad thinks that putting a second alt in is a bad idea. and i'll admit, neither of us know much about how the whole idea would work. i'm still working on the finer details of multiple batteries.

anyways, thats my situation, any help or suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
it was a real long message, but i put as much detail in as i could think of. if you have any questions, post them here or email me directly.

Specter.

there i even proof-read it for ya

you could buy a H.O. alt, and bolt it right where the orriginal one would go, and upgrade all your factory grounds going to , then put one or two new batts under the hood, and you should be good to go

i would get some expensive subs but my shockers are just too damn loud
