For those of you who have upgraded your car stereo systems with a new alternator, could you recommend a place to buy/provide experiences.

There is so much bad information floating around on this topic. I am trying to get a general consensus of where everyone goes for alternator upgrades.

Also, could you recommend any websites that explain this issue clearly besides the termpro articles (I have already read those and found them to be too simplistic).

Thank you.

Depending on how much power you need, you may be able to find what you need at Jeg's and also at Summit Racing. They have a good assortment but nothing with a really high output. Some internet stereo companies also sell Stinger alternators.

Good luck in your quest for more power!

I'm looking into Ohio generator. They have a fairly good reputation for alternators, but getting info can be a real pain, since they don't have a website and you have to find a dealer. Any dealers on here carry Ohio Generator??
