Ok I know Kimber Kable makes some of the nicest cables out there, but I dont have 5,000 dollars to spend on RCA's, I really like what I've heard about the Streetwires ZN 5.0 but I cant find anywhere besides Crutchfield that sells them online. If anyone knows where to get Streetwire products online please reply, besides those brands though, what else is out there that is comparable?

Just remember, people with cheap and moderately priced RCA's win World Championships too! Don't go overboard, buy a decent quality one, burn it in and go with that. I'm sure people will argue forever over this but its my experience that tells me this. Don't forget, you are in a car! Any ?'s, just ask!

For the record Audioquest makes some of the highest dollar stuff out there. But they do have a good entry level. Jade is about $100+ for 3 meters.
Also, RF makes a nice cable starting with the White Wolf.

Is there any evidence anywhere to support burning in cables? I'm curious.

If I didn't make my own I would most likely buy RF Matrix, Riot, or Rage cables. Twisted pairs with metal ends. Gonna sound within 1% of anything else.

All right, while we're going big nuts, how about Nordost SPM? You don't even WANT to know how much, k? :-)
One possible problem with shielded coaxial cable is that the shield is used as the negative side in some.. Which leads to a different resistance on the - side vs. that of the +...
But hey, any decent twisted pair, in a car, will perform more than adequately.. how about just getting one that looks good?

I don't think you'll be able to hear a difference as long as the interconnect is twisted pair. It's in a car, and with manufacturing tech to where it is now, the difference between Kimber Kable and local Radio Shack (twisted pair) is going to be practically inaudible. That's what I believe. Sure, there have been tests that prove me wrong, but with my limited funds, that's a good rule to go by. Unless I win the lottery, I'm gonna be using Lightning Audio or Stinger. It's hard for me to justify a 3 foot length or cable selling for over 70 dollars. I already find 2 dollars a foot hard to chew. The looks and how they integrate into your install are what I look for, once their performance is proven. I especially like the new onew with 4 channels in one cable. Now someone needs to make one with 6 channels, so my subs can join in the fun. I think the most important thing is not the brand, but as long as it's twisted pair and ofc copper at least, what matters is the size of the wires. The more the better, within reason.
My 2 cents worth Sam
