Has anyone else had problems with using fancy audio cable such as Stinger HPM under the hood of a car.
Its only rated to 60*C which is 140F... i've noticed the wire has discolored underneath my hood.
Is this power cable only meant for inside a car? It seems that it wasn't really made for wiring in the engine bay. Wish I had gone with welding cable. More flexible, and can withstand heat to 105*C.

I guess if discoloration is the only problem you should'nt be concerned.

you must have the old HPM if you think welding cable is more flexible. The new HPM wire is badass. I have some of the older stuff and some of the new. BIG difference in flex on the new stuff

It's not the flexibility that bugs me, it can't stand up to the heat and grime that gets kicked up into the engine bay. It is very flexible, probably just as flexi as welding wire now that I think of it.
I'll be listing for sale prob an extra 15' of HPM 1/0 and a bunch of 4 gauge hpm that I never installed.
