did you have to use an alt that is wound for running the opposite direction? approx. install time? will you be selling these brackets? You and Dennis are the company that our shop uses for alts
what's the year/model of this car?

It's actually a powermaster alternator becasue the customer wanted chrome. Any alternator can run in either direction, you just loose about 15 -20 % cooling efficience because of the fan blades going the oposite direction. On an application like this, it should be fine as it can suck nice cool air in out of the fenderwell away from the engine. It is also only a 200 amp unit, so it won't get as hot as a 250 or 300 amp unit.
The hole thing can be installed in less than an hour, believe it or not it's pretty easy.
I made a cad file for them, so I could have them lazer cut again if somebody wanted one. It's my own personal design, not a mechman product.

I wish I did. Sometimes I can find a vehilce in a junkyard and develop templates off of that vehicle, but it's hard finding an Astro that isn't allready parted out.
