I have seen some competitors use 1 or 2 Batcap 8400's 16 volt batteries in line with their battery set-ups (Kinetiks and Power Master). Is this safe for the battery? Can it also be in line with a small bank of batteries and ran off an alternator? The voltage could be kept at a consitant 18 volts. It could also be unplugged after comptition is over and put back on a Batcap charger.

Thanks for the response. I might eventually get rid of my Kinetiks all together and get some sort of step down module to run my trucks electrical off of. After talking with Ray McKenzie about a week ago and getting some pointers on how to treat the battery, I think I may be on my way. How do you get on Team Batcap?? Again I would like to eventually go with one type of battery. If this Bat-cap 8400 gets my sealed on the dash score to a 157 on the Term-Lab, I will probably switch over.
